Said Sukunabikona-no-kami, who was at the top of a slide that was shaped like an octopus. He was looking at the setting sun.

After they finished eating their hamburgers in the park, they took a walk around to help with digestion and it ended up getting this late.

“Guardian? Are you talking about Haraedo?”

Haraedo had certainly watched over Sukunabikona-no-kami, but Uta didn’t think that the small god was self-conscious about it.

Sukunabikona-no-kami saw Uta’s surprised look and asked in response.

“Isn’t he your guardian?”

“Ah, that’s what you meant.”

“What were you thinking…? It couldn’t be anything else.”

Sensing Uta’s thoughts, the small god pouted a little.

“Well, whatever. No guardian the next time we meet, got it?”

By the way, the two were presently watching this “guardian” from the top of the octopus slide as he was being chased around by children.

Haraedo was surprisingly very caring and fond of children.

“A date, huh…”

Uta muttered as he looked down at Haraedo playing with the children.

“To tell you the truth, I don’t mind spending time together with you at all. But, there is something on my mind. It’s about Ookuninushi.”

Sukunabikona’s voice lowered.

Sukunabikona seemed like a spoiled rascal in the beginning, but Uta knew now that he was a simple and easy-to-understand child.

When Uta accidentally let his thoughts slip out, Sukunabikona’s cheeks instantly flushed red.

“What did you say?! A mere human is calling me cute?!”

As Uta chuckled, he tenderly looked at the small god next to him.

Then, he was suddenly hit with an idea and proposed it right away.

“Even a human like me has experienced love a little…”

“Eh? I’m interested to hear.”

Sukunabikona’s curiosity was piqued.

“Back when I was in high school, I was confessed to by a young man who I thought was nice, and we went out.”

“He~eh…”

“And, you see…I was rather fond of him, but our relationship was only physical in the end. He quickly grew tired of me and threw me away. That left a little wound in my heart. Ah, but don’t tell this to Haraedo, okay?”

If Haraedo knew this, he would probably take revenge for Uta despite how many years it had been. This terrified him.

“‘Don’t go randomly sleeping with anyone,’ right?”

Sukunabikona-no-kami finished the sentence. Since this came from the small god’s mouth, he must have already figured it out.

Sukunabikona was bathed in the evening light as he stared at Uta’s face.
